Access to Medical Records

You are entitled to request copies of your medical records from the Hospital / Doctor / Dentist who has treated you.
You have the right to copies of your records under the Data Protection Act 1998 or the Access to Health Records Act 1990 (where records are requested for a deceased person).

An access fee to obtain the records can be requested usually of an amount not exceeding £50.00.
